It might be a good idea to meet at a quilting store or casual restaurant somewhere near the 5 fwy. Some of us live in San Diego and South Orange Co. and some live in L.A. and North Orange Co. I know there there are quilt stores with large classrooms, but they aren't very close to the 5 fwy. I know some Denny's and Marie Callendar's that have a side room for meetings.
I live near the 91 and the 57 fwy, north of the 5., but I also would be willing to travel a distance.

I don't have a time in mind. Earlier someone else suggested that we get together and I think it would be fun too.
However, with the holidays coming, I have a fair amount of sewing to do. Maybe Feb. would be a good time. (Jan is Road to CA)
I could probably get the use of one of the rooms in our church for us to meet. We are about 2 blocks east of the 57 fwy at Yorba Linda Blvd and about 2 miles north of the 91 fwy. There is also a Marie Callendars with a private room in the same vicinity. If anyone knows where Calif. State Univ., Fullerton is, we are just across the fwy from them. The 57 fwy goes N and S between the 210 fwy and the 5 fwy.
Those who have expressed an interest in getting together are as far away as San Diego to Bakersfield.
What do other So CA quilters think?

It's a great show. I have been every year the last 8 years with the exception of last year. I was recovering from shoulder surgery.
I usually go with a small group of my church quilting buddies and we usually go Friday, stay at a local hotel and go Saturday as well. I have never taken any classes but hope to do so someday.
It would be wonderful to meet up with others that are going.
The show is at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario.
