Default Who's going to Cincinnati Quilt Festival?

I think I'm going this year -- it will be my first time there, but I am excited to go! I think it's April 11-13. Is anyone out there planning to go???

My husband takes me and two friends. Then he goes to a local bookstore and has coffee and reads until we are ready to come home. It is about a 1.5 hour drive. This coming year we will also stop at Pohlar Fabrics on the way back.

I will definatly be going again this year. I live just north of Cincinnati. About 30 minute drive for me. Last year I met another person from the board who was from Michigan. Pohlar fabric is a good place to stop. Lots of good fabric and good sales.

This caught my interest. I retired the end of 2012 and now have time to do some fun stuff. My hubby & I live in 2 states due to previous work transfers (I'm in central IN (Noblesville) & he is near Dayton OH) so now have the opportunity to do this and have been wanting to go but wasn't sure of the dates and address. I see it is 4/11-13, but where is it located.

Linda, it's at the Duke Energy Center in downtown Cincinnati. I live about 15 minutes south of the river and I love that it's so close. My 17yo DD has gone with me the last 2 years and she can't wait to go again this year. Next year when she's off to college I may have to go by myself.

In addition to Pohlar Fabric, Fabric Shack is in Waynesville and a must go to quilt shop. Not a lot of extras but a huge huge amount of well priced fabrics. Place for batiks and solids if that is what you are interested in.

Hey! I am in Middletown! We are almost neighbors! I will be going again this year. My quilt guild charters a bus - last year was so much fun!

Lovelyl I live in Fairfield, Just down the road from you. Are you in the Middletown Guild? I am in the Oxford Guild, we share a bus with them to the show. Are you going to the guild retreat in March? I have already signed up for the retreat.
There are quite a few quilt shops in the Cincinnati area. There is Quilters Studio in Loveland (about 30 minutes from show) that has a ton of batiks. Sew Easy and Stitches in Sharonville. (Aunt Ruths is closed, hopefully temporary) Seams so Easy in Fairfield. Bella Quilts in Hamilton. Silk Road in Cincinnati. Valley Quilts in Trenton. Also Fabric Shack in Waynesville. Pohlar Fabric in Liberty Indiana. Original Creations in LAwrenceburg Indiana(I have not been there) Lavender Street in Montgomery, and a shop in Middletown I don't know the name of. All of these shops (except Waynesville) are pretty close to Cincinnati. You could spend at least a day just going to all of the shops. From what I understand Cincinnati has a lot of shops compared to other cities.

    Default Cincy quilt show

I'm going to be there. I think on the 12th. Daughter lives in Loveland and I told her she has to take me.....She does not quilt (not her thing) but I put the "ole thumb of guilt" on her reminding her we never get to do something with each other and not kids involved......I think we will have a good time. She does like and appreciate my quilts and orders what she likes....first order (also first one I did) was..."Mom we saved this wall for you and would like you to make a quilt to hang there" It was first home for them and the wall was"huge" 15ft x 15ft x 20ft high space.. ...wanted something Southwest. It ended up being approx 7 x 8 and was applique squares of different things found in Southwest. That was more than 10 yrs ago. I had fun designing and making it and still like it when I see it. Maybe we will see each other there. Carol
