You did a wonderful job! I have never had the courage to ask for that much for a T-shirt quilt but in my area no one would pay that much anyway. I consider myself lucky to get $450 to $500 for a T-shirt quilt and that is inclusive of materials. Maybe I should rethink my pricing?? However, I do not do that level of piecing for sashing. Usually I do sashing strips and cornerstones.
Additionally you must be wicked fast to peice all the background squares (even strip pieced those would take me some time to do), cut out the shirts, back them with interfacing, quilt and bind this in only 45 1/2 hours? Maybe it is just that I am wicked slow.

I like the squares in between the shirts. Most of what I've seen are solids and I definitely like this "more better" and will keep in mind for my daughter! Please explain the $1100 in your subject line...

This is the best T-shirt quilt I have ever seen! I am not a fan of them, usually, and have turned down many requests to make one, because they are so much work. Yours is beautiful- and you earned every penny!

Good job! I love your patchwork sashing...just beautiful. Congratulations on the great payoff.
For me, the most time consuming part is ironing the stabilizer to the t-shirt backs, so I used part of the income from my last t-shirt quit and bought a press. I'm getting ready to do another as soon as they send one more shirt and let me know what colors they want for sashing and borders. This one should go much quicker.
