    Hi Everyone,

This is my first table topper, and my first project on my new to me Bernina 1090. Still have some issues like needle positions and walking foot things to work out, your basic learning curve. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed the process and working on such an awesome machine.

Anyway, this is "Baskets of Blessings", a 17" table topper, using a This & That pattern. It takes only part of a charm pack for the topper, plus a bit for the binding and backing. I used "Wildflower Serenade II" for the front, and "Autumn Journey" for the backing and binding, both from Kansas Troubles. It will be given to a long time friend of mine for her birthday tomorrow.

Beautiful! Your friend is going to love it.

I also just got a new Bernina and I wish I had taken the plunge 10 years ago! I love it!

TOO funny! LOL I've had my 730 since 1994, with nary a problem. Keep 'em clean and oiled and they'll run forever. I got the 1090 for some of the bells and whistles us quilters like. Enjoy yours. If you aren't aware, there is a really nice Yahoo group called "Berninathirtysomethings", first started for the older x30 machines, but now all are welcome to share their questions, experiences, pictures, etc. I've learned so much from them over the years.

    Thanks for your kind comments.

The topper is great, I'm sure you're friend (or tlrnhi) will love it.
