    Here's an easy one. I purchased several beach fabrics --- beach balls, flip flops, sunglasses etc. --- in bright summery fabrics and made a simple rail fence. Really came out well.

    the detail is fantastic! i particularly like the porpoises and fish in the waves!

    Great job! I just think you did wonderful work, looks like it was a lot of work. Did you have fun paper piecing? I find it kinda relaxing.

    Thanks. They weren't part of the pattern. I found a mistake in the paperpiecing after I had the whole top done and rather than ripping out, I appliqued over it. It covered it up well! :)
