Gypsyquilter sent me this fall themed quilt for LAQ.

She wanted the leaves to look like they were swirling..that was the only request..so I went in and also added veins to the leaves and outlined them. I also went in and outline the trees..and just added a bit of texture in the tree leaves...as to not take way from all of her piecing. I just added leaves and loops in the border.

This is a wonderful wall hanging...although I don't know what she is using it for...stunning quilt!

I quilted this on my 26 INNOVA ..no computer or pantograph quilting all free hand.

I charge $1.99 per square foot for custom quilting! (without ruler work..that is extra..so far nobody on QB has asked for ruler work..if that helps you decipher.) Thanks alot!

This is just beautiful. My youngest daughter requested a quilt for her queen bed for fall (I have allready made her a christmas quilt, a spring quilt, and a sick day fluffy quilt.) She said she wants all oranges and browns and reds... and leaves... lots of leaves. Yours has truely inspired me. If the one I make for her is even 1/4 as beautiful as yours, she will be thrilled to death. Thank you so much for posting pics. You do beautilful work!

OK, my curiosity is peaked. WHAT is ruler work? Straight grid lines?

The swirling on the quilting is PERFECTO!

Ruler work would be Straight lines...SID.....cross hatching....sometimes curved lines...It is so time consuming...that is why we charge more.

It is easier to do straight lines and SID on domestic sewing machines..harder to do on a long arm...Long arms perform curves better...
    Thanks!
