My DH and I have worked on many many projects through out the 44 years of marriage, but never never would he be allowed in my sewing room. Once several years ago, when I was at work and he was home alone, he really screwed up my sewing machine!!!!!!!!! And this was just after I had had it in for a "tune up"!!!!!!!! So when I sat down to begin making a few school clothes for kids --- well there was a lot of foul words and I refused to even try making school clothes. He got to go shopping with us and getting out his credit card. Needless to say he has never been near a sewing machine since. LOL So there are a lot of titles for books which could be written about couples who work together on any project!!! If a marriage survives, it is because each partner learns their own strengths and weakness and learns to depend and respect these in his/her partner. Right now DH has been going thru some health issues and I am having to learn to do a lot of the things he always did for us. Things like changing batteries in smoke alarms and checking the air in the tires, taking the car to get the inspection sticker, fixing the little float thing in the comode and just taking the trash out on trash day. He has never been a cook or even wanted to be, nor has he been very good with the laundry; but he has been a very good fixer upper. Once our GD's favorite pair of sandles just wore out and she did not want to give them up. She asked Papa if he could get some glue at Home Depot to fix them.

Wonderful. Love the boots. On my to-do list is a child quilt with shoes/boots in each square.
