I don't either. Some of my best quilts start out looking like this!

Ta Daa!! (Another favorite word of 2yo Avery!) It's done. I went to take pic and the battery is exhausted  So will add these items while battery is charging. Here's some more items during the making of this.
    1. Yes I did use dryer sheets. I caution that you make sure they are well used--even to go so far as to throw them in the washer and really get the softening agents out. I cut a 3 1/2 x 5 inch base. After sewing the crumbs I cut down to 3 x 4 1/2 inches for a 2 1/2 x 4 inch rectangle. There are 9 blocks.
    2. The sashing and outer border are 1 3/4 inch wide and the 20 HST are cut 1 3/4 inches as well.

My goal was to use lots of little pieces--tiny triangles, too

2 1/2" squares were used here

    These were 1.5" finished blocks

A border cutting tip. I knew I would need 2 wof for the border. I cut the wof fabric 2x the border width--in this case 3 1/2 inches. Cut the length of one side, then cut in half. Cut the second side length, then cut in half. Your left over fabric will be 1 larger piece rather than 2 narrower pieces. Just gives you a bigger scrap to work with.

Now see if I can get a pictrue taken

Cut the width of one border from the wide cut

Cut lengthwise in half the proper border width

Repeat for the other border. Your left over isn't 2 1 34" pieces but 1 3 1/2" piece
