Thank you Damkina! You truly are an inspiration! I'm across the pond, but will come up with an appropriate quilt for my son. He's served 5 tours of duty in Iraq, the last one was for 15 months!
Yes, we need to honor our sons for their bravery and longsufferings!
    Thanks again,
    Regards,
    MaryAnna

What a beautiful quilt! You did an EXCELLENT job.

Please thank your son, and all the men and women who serve with him for their service to their country.

Thank you sew much for all the information. It is truly a beautiful quilt and means so much more now that you have explained the different patches. Wonderful! And blessings to your son and all the ones who are serving their countries for our safety!

Thank you so much for such lovely complements.

I will pass on your messages to my son in my next letter, or when he next phones home.

MaryAnna, I would love to see what emblems you come up with when making your own son's quilt.

And please give him a hug from England and tell him Thank you. During his last tour my son was able to spend some down-time with American Soldiers and had some great memories of great chats and having several games of what we would call 'American Football'... and basketball. Although he said wasn't sure what they really thought of our Cricket lol!
