"Precious Memories" My Alzheimers Tribute Quilt
#82
What a loving thing to do for your FIL Paw Paw! The bright and cheerful colors are sure to warm his heart. It is even better with your bold cranbery border.
I had wondered about making quilts for people to use in nursing homes. My father has a form of dementia that makes him delusional and paranoid, but he still lives in his own home. He used to like quilts in museums and shows, but never in his home.
I'm late posting on your topic here, so i wondered if you finished the quilting and how it went.
So glad to hear that the move to a place with people and a social life did your Paw Paw good.

Hi,
I just on hereto send you a note and say I love your quilt. My naqame is Fran. This is my first day on here and I am going to start a Quilt for the first time as soon as I get everything I need. Only a lap quilt tho. Don't think I could make the kind you made. LOL I use to make my own clothes years ago and just got back to sewing after 31 years and made myaelf a dress. Now I am working opn the jacket and decided I wanted to try my hand at quilting.
Good Luck.
Fran

I really like your quilt. I'm new enough to quilting that I don't know the names of different patterns, but I have a quilt my Mom made like this - I always looked at it to try to figure out how it was done. Didn't look like a pattern and couldn't figure out how to piece it. Now I know it has a name and somewhat of a pattern, I can look for it. Thanks,
