Greetings Jan, we have similar patterns in the LQS that I work in. There are candle mats, and rectangular placemats, and also the local author has come up with a baby quilt that also has some folded pieces incorporated in it. Too cute. Auntie B

I would not of thought of doing those first two in white, and I love the result. It really shows off the structure.

Isn't her work great. I took a class and over a year we did a whole quilt with her designs (with her approval). We did it on a southern creamy muslin with the same color of thread; rayon on the top. I loved it so much that I started making more but instead of using the same thread color I used a purple/green on one and two shades of blue on another and i forgot the other color; they are great. You did a great job with yours. I love her web site.

Do you have any photos of the quilt the class did or the ones that you did. The whole quilt and then yours using colored thread sounds really intriguing and I would really like to see them. I, too, live her web site.

I'll try this weekend to take some pictures. I was able to pick up one of her books when I was in WV last month. They are hard to come by except for on line. I do have all of the patterns that was supplied to us by the teacher. Some of them were modified to make them eaiser to do. I'll try and get them out and those I can send to you. My teacher called Jennie before she taught the class and got her permissions to teach and modify some of the patterns. Jennie told her that as long as she was given credit for where the designs came from it was ok by her. You did a really great job. Have you checked out her site yet. She was in the N. England quilt show; I would have loved to have been able to go.

Thanks - and in my previous comment I really meant to say "love" and not "live" her website. She sure is funny and a joy to listen to - plus the way she writes her pattern books makes them fun to read and follow along too. Looking forward to seeing the photos. Thanks again.
