There is no choice here Kristen - you have to do it yourself!
But I did get my machine particularly to be able to do my own quilting, and this is the biggest so far, but it is going okay.

Oh gosh--is that a "regular" machine you're doing that on?? It's not a short/meduim/long arm? You're doing an amazing job!! I truly believe you either have the ability to fmq, or you don't. YOU HAVE IT!! :-D
    I don't. :|
What a great idea it was to stitch in the ditch to start!!

Love that pattern--and the border looks like dancing stars.

Thanks Karla - it's on a Janome 6600. Ditching round the blocks means I can then fmq with just a couple of pins in the middle of the block and soon remove them making it easier - and of course you can start anywhere too. I did the first work on the edge blocks, so if I made a muck of it at least it wasn't too noticeable

Stunning! You are brave. I also have a Janome 6600 and it is a great machine. I agree with working or limiting time in order to not get overwhelmed or just plain worn out.

It is a super machine Monica isn't it! I had coveted it for ages and finally got one. It has enabled me to do something like this. I now have almost half the fmq done!
