They are both beautiful, The octogons have so much life and movement, I prefer those. I like the blocks in the border..I have seen this done in quite a few obo's, and always like it. I have also seen afew where they have one of the blocks appear as it is falling off the quilt. Thank you for sharing your creations.

Now I suppose we will all be buying enough of a fabric to make both!!
Just out of interest, what repeat is it?
12" - and a note about that. I found I was getting exact doubles across the strip set so I had to look out and slice off a strip of about a half inch now and then to move along the repeat a tad. This was because the base length of my chosen size triangles was an exact increment of the WOF repeat, so look out for that! :-D

Yes I've seen that before - I always try and get a "staggered" vertical repeat for that reason, and normally ask the seller if it is staggered, when I request the horizontal repeat info.

Nope, I'm not even home, I'm in a hotel near work. Can't get home because of icy roads, plus I've go a horrendous cold, so in just hunkering down.

They're both awesome. I love how you've done the border on the first one. I don't think I'll ever get that talented to do one of those OBW's. All the quilts I see on this forum are all awesome. You ladies and gents are all so amazing!!

I had to look them over several times, they are both fabulous. If I had to choose one, it would be the octagon at this time. Not sure exactly why, probably because the nice warm colors.
