The Drive fore Diabetes golf tournament will be in july 24, 2011 for a fundraiser. I made this quilt for the silent aution that occurs during the after event dinner. This is the brainchild of my hubby and he and the Nevada Diabetes Association has put it on for the diabetic kids in our area for three years running this july. This year they are in partnership with the Reno Tahoe Open. Pretty Cool.

Last year I donated many many quilts and purses, table runners and totes for the cause.

So all that being said, Here is the first of many things I will be making for the auction. A Youth bed sized quilt with embroidered duckies I bought from Debbie Umphrress and the bubble fabric I bought from roxannebcb.

It will look much cuter when I get it quilted.

Best long view I could get....

What a wonderful cause! And what a wonderful quilt top! I do a lot of hand embroidery on my quilts...I like it so much better than machine embroidery. Good job both of you!

OH it is so wonderful. All of the ones you have made with these embroider blocks are great. Thanks for letting me see them. One lucky child will really love it. Love the bubble fabric too. Too cute.

Thanks for selling them to me debbie. I have had so much fun making baby quilts from them.

Thanks everyone. I am hoping to at least put one child though the camp with my donations this year. Last year I came up short by two hundred of the thousand it takes. They filled in the rest though and the child was able to go to camp buck to learn how to manage diabetes.

Adorable quilt and I am sure it will bring a nice sum at the silent auction.
