    Your quilt is so pretty. I like the black border around the inside square, really sets of the solid squares.

    The navy is my center square. I added a square on top of that and then stitched the navy on top to get the edging.

    Try a center square about 2 inches larger than the other four squares. You might even go to a 12 1/2 in square for your center.

    OMG~~~~that is stunning! I just love it. Sorry to hear you hit a few difficulties along the way....but with all due respect, you ventured off of the pattern and "created" a masterpiece. Thank you for sharing!!!!
