I couldn't find a tutorial with pictures, but this is what I used. Next time I do this, I take pics and put it in the tutorial section

I am constantly amazed at the speed with which questions get answered on this board.
I'd vote for birthing and quilting. Anything to do with babies and small children IMHOP is better with minimum grooves for crumbs to collect in or things that can snag.

Birth it and machine quilt it in the manner in which you are most comfortable doing. SITD would be fine. I like the stability quilting gives it vs. tying when it comes to things that babies/kids use...as this will likely get washed a lot and will be loved for years to come! :-) Oh, and once you birth it and get it ready for sewing, if you stitch along the border where the purple-bluish color (I can't tell what color it is on my monitor) meets the other colors of the quilt...it will make that border have some emphasis and stabilize your quilt nicely. (But I would do it after you've done the other quilting.)

I guess "birthing" means "pillow-casing" which would be fine in this instance since border and backing are the same.
But, like the other mothers, quilt it; don't tie.
It's pretty and will be serviceable as well.

I vote for birthing it (now that I know what it is) and stitching in the ditch or a angled quilting. Something simple.
I personaly don't like the idea of tying for baby quilts. I just keep picting the ties coming out and ending up in baby's mouth. Don't know that it would ever happen but it scares me never less.

What I need opinions on is whether to tie it or quilt it, bind it or birth it. I don't have any of the material in the quilt left, so the binding would be different.
I'm not touching it until I get 10, so I'll work on something else until then. Thank you!

I was told by someone to never tie a baby quilt. The baby might chew on it and the ties could come undone and the baby would get choked. That stopped me from ever tieing them. I would quilt it and perhaps bind it with a plain fabric.
