    The quilt looks like it was made yesterday. It was preserved very well. You should feel honored to have been asked to quilt it. You really did a nice job by the way. Any idea what your friend is going to do with? I'm just curious if she's going to donate it to a historical society or?????

    She has two other quilt tops...one I am almost done hand quilting,and I will machine quilt. I'll suggest she put at least one in a quilt museum.

    Beautiful heirloom quilt!
    In regards to finishing it by machine, at least it IS finished. Just the other day I heard that saying, "A finished quilt is better than a perfect quilt top". As many ufos as I have, and I'm finally going through them, I'm tending to agree...
