It is very heartwarming to know that others are so thoughtful and giving. Just when I get depressed with the news, something wonderful like this appears and lifts my belief in the goodness of people.

What a wonderful gift for a nursing home (or anyone really). As a senior, I know how the drafts can effect joints, even in summer.

I'd like to echo the sentiments of those who have commented on this wonderful thread: What a generous work of charity in the true spirit of Christmas!

I was just wondering if the minky-like fabric would hold up in the washing and drying at the nursing home?

I have never seen these. Think I would like one myself for my shoulders on these cold mornings. What a great project you ladies did !
