What an amazing array of fabrics! I have 8 yrs. of stash, all in large totes. I've been wanting to separate the colors, but not sure what kind of storage to use. What kind of cubbyholes do you have for your collection?

BTW: Your Blue Dalia quilt you are making has to be the most beautiful quilt I've ever seen!

I have a white cubbyhole unit from Ikea. It's 5 cubbies x cubbies and they have coordinating bins and baskets that fit the holes. Just do a search on shelving units at Ikea. I also have the larger unit in dark brown in my home office. I got the white for the sewing room so the color wouldn't compete with the fabrics.

And thank you about the Dahlia quilt comment. :) Still working on it and started the applique over the weekend.

Pam, so glad you said you think Joann's fabrics are good qualtity, bc most of my stuff, (and i do have a LOT), came from either joann's or wal-mart. Have read on here some ppl will NOT buy from either store bc they don't think it is quality fabric. What does that mean? my quilts gonna fall apart or fade? I have a LOT of fabrics from these stores. I do put my hand underneath and see if it is see thru...yes, I put it back. So I think my stuff is good. I certainly hope so.

Like any place I think there is a mixture of quality. I was looking there last week for material for a quilt for my daughter who said she wanted green or teal. There was a collection of oriental looking fabric that I thought was pretty nice and I was actually selecting ones and putting them in my cart. It was, I think, about $8 per yard on sale. I think others have said that they have good quality but it is expensive. I love Moda and you don't find that for much under $9 a yard.

This was at lunch and I got a call from work on my Blackberry about a problem. I administer telecom systems, Voice over IP and voicemail in email, and I was distracted with the problem and had to leave so I put the fabric back and didn't get it.
