This is my first jelly roll quilt. I needed a top which would go together quickly, so I could play with my new quilting frame! At the "2 strip stage" I cut the strips into lengths of about 45". Three of the strips I made shorter, and I inserted squares or rectangle into the short strips... highlighting my favorite space dolphin fabric AND some "pocket frogs fabric" I printed using Kaleidoscope Kreator 3.

I prefer a mitered join to the strips - I have made 2 more of the 1600 quilts, I made them mitered.

This quilt is not yet bound, so the edges are a little WONKY. Also, washed out color thanks to Iphone. (No flash)

What a neat idea! The possibilities could be endless for this type of quilt, huh? Great job!

WOW I really like this!!! The extra blocks just make it! How do you do the faux OBW? I'm not sure what Kaleidoscope Kreator 3 is.

this may be a dumb question...but what's the 1600 in reference to?
i've seen this a couple times and have no idea what 1600 means---i thought it either had 1600 pieces- or was really-really-really long???

It is a colourful pattern. Thanks for sharing with us. Looks like an easy one, but calls for a lot of cutting of colourful fabrics. Done to perfection. :-D :-D
