It is gorgeous. I am thinking that it might not be that old, maybe only about 1942 or so. Quilters back in the 1800's didn't buy large quantities of fabric for quilts. They bought yardage for clothing and made quilts out of the left overs. The vibrant colors and the large quantities of fabric make me think it is fairly recent.

Please please don't sell it. Consider it part of your legacy and your family history. It is beautiful. I agree with everyone else that you should get it appraised and tak it one step further and insure it too.
