Great job! Good for you, pushing yourself to finish it!
No offense to anyone here, but I don't like the 30's prints that much. They can get a bit boring. My Mom was born in the 30's, and she loves them. I think using the yellow background jazzes them up. I was thinking of using yellow to do one of those hugs and kisses quilts with 30's fabrics. Now I can see [from your quilt] it would be a good idea. I suppose any light color could have the same effect.

I LOVE this quilt. The yellow looks absolutly beautiful with the reproduction fabrics. I have tons of reproduction fabrics and have always used white with them. I am gonna definitily use the yellow now! It is beautiful and makes the quilt look so soft!

    Great job

Your quilt is beautiful, especially with the yellow sashing. Your choice of yellow makes this quilt extra beautiful since it goes so well with the 20's-40's prints that you've used. Keep up the good work.

Quiltergirl, Yep! Sounds like that yellow is just not right for you. You should probably just send it on to me so you won't have to look at it any more. 8) 8) 8) Just kidding of course. It is stunning. I too love the reproduction fabrics and the yellow is authentic to the period I believe. A real beauty. Thanks for sharing.

    Julie,

I think your quilt is beautiful. I also like your label and the quilting - very nice!

It was interesting reading all the comments. Seems like everyone has a strong opinion about yellow, either they love it or hate it. Personally, I like it and think it works very well in your quilt. :D

I hope you post some more pictures.

Quilter2, your quilt is also beautiful!
