But I think the yellow is so appropriate for a 30's quilt. I remember seeing several vintage quilts using that same yellow.

For the label I take a pice of freezer paper and iron a piece of fabric on the shinney side (no steam and I usually just use muslin) cut it exactly 11 X 81/2 (the size of typing paper) and put it in my printer. I design my label on the computer and then print it - I use HP Deskjet Ink. Then "peel" the fabric from the paper and take a hot dry iron and "set" the ink. You can wash the fabric and the ink doesn't come off or bleed. Try it on a scrap and wash it.

I have a Pfaff Grand Quilter - got it earlier this year - really love it - but I would like a larger quilting space - maybe someday. Hope I didn't bore you all - I may get up the courage to post some more pics.
I must ask....Is that really all you did to make your label? I recently did a label the same way you described and I tested it before sewing it on...and it bled all over the place. I'm so glad I didn't sew it on before testing. I ended up using a permanent pen to trace over the computer design.

Both quilts are Beautiful. I like most all colors and am thinking of using yellow as the light color on a scrappy log cabin quilt.

Not much of a yellow lover, but this quilt is gorgeous. You did a wonderful job.

I'm not big on yellow either, but I love this one. I also love the label. What a great idea!
