Beautiful work! I have never worked with batiks. They always look beautiful.....and yours are no exception.

I'm laughing out loud here....LOVE it!!!!

it's just a regular wood burning stove, heats my house in winter and yes, the quilt will be moved before winter. Did you think it was a cook stove?

    (still chuckling)
Havent seen one in years since I was a kid. We used a wood stove for heat. Didn't think anyone still used them. Mom also cooked on ours. Dad still has a pot bellied in the garage but never uses it. A friend has one of the new ones that doesnt use wood but wood pellets. I can remember getting up early in the morning wrapped in a blanket and running downstairs to stand by the wood stove.....good memories.
Out here in the Pac NW it's pretty normal. The feed store I visit heats their building with two huge pot bellies and I love walking in there. What's unusual out here....air conditioning in homes other than the window units. While the rest of the country is frying, we've had high 60*'s low 70*'s.

All 3 are gorgeous quilts. I love batiks also but usually don't make complete quilts out of them because of the cost. I really like to use them in applique.
