2 of my spiral tablerunners

There is a pattern called spicey spiral that needs to be followed. The ruler is cut out of plexiglass at my local hardware store according to the dimensions I gave earlier. I put a piece of stick on tape measure down the center. I put that pic of the real ruler in there so that you could see the two X dimensions that were placed on it for where they should go. You will need to make these with some other method. I recommend using something that would scratch the line into the plexiglass.
Some people have made the ruler by using heavy paper and making a circle. They have folded it into 8 pie shaped pieces. One piece would be the wedge. I believe that way it might be a 9 degree wedge. I didn't like the idea that the paper would be so bendable.

I just bought this pattern and the fabric at a great little shop in Kissimmee FL. Planned to use a coupon to get the ruler at Joanns. So which is better the 9 or 10 inch? My pattern calls for the 9.
