I had one idea for mine - some of you will know I've been saying forever that I was going to do a rooster in stained glass aplliqué;..; well, maybe for this? Here's a photo of the design I found. I MAY still change my mind though but feel free to let me know what you think! :D

Sorry it's done that thing where you have to click on it and i don't know how to change it, and DH isn't here to tell me! I checked and it opens really quick though!
wow, this is a brilliant idea for a centre block. I hope you go with it.

Seriously, I love the idea of that rooster! I do stained glass (the real glass kind) and had to study it. That would be gorgeous in bright batiks! How fun that would be for a quilt center!
I have a GREAT duck story, has to do with an egg that didn't hatch, a replacement duck, bathtubs, and, of course, children ... maybe I should just tell you that I raised a duck and named her "Duck-Duck" ... for the life of me I couldn't think of anything else to call her! <g>

Hey, that idea works in the UK - I grew up on the south coast in the 'New Foerst' which was planted by William Rufus about a 1000 years ago! :D

ok, here's the pic with the new york beauty corner stones.

i had no idea how hard 4 inch NYB are to make - OMG!

i have to get one of those square and block things and beat them into shape.

i'm going to do some flying geese where that solid strip of black fabric is - it just looks so plain and boring with it just being solid black.

    so here ya go, enjoy.
