peaceandjoy...sounds like a normal fall schedule to me!!! Hope your center learns from its "time out" and gets itself all ready to go soon.

As far as knowing where you left off on a thread...all I know is that the email notification usually puts me on the right spot, but if I come any other way....no such luck. This thread will be slipping off the recent threads pages soon as we start new threads for Round 1 for each group..That way they won't be sooo long. Its just a few more weeks until mail date though!

Wow, Blue, from my two-fabric block to your wildly colourful block. 8) I LOVE the purple cat.
Know what you mean about envisioning the quilt - it will be exciting to see what others do to what has been started. My prediction right now is that you are going to end up with one spectacular quilt.

Well, I've been thinking, and I'll stick with that as my centre. Maybe I just wanted some stroking from you wonderful ladies! LOL

I loved the fabrics because there's sooooo many possibilities, so many colours to choose from and so many directions it could take. And I do love the cat silhouettes. I've zig zagged round Mr Purple Cat Dude, and I'm definitely happy with it.

    :-)

Not exactly.... I've seen a few variations of it, and have a picture on my pc of an entire quilt top, with jars and jars of fish and several cats in different poses. I just adapted it to fit the measurements I needed and drew my own pattern.

purple kitty is a keeper - there are lots of darker colors in there to help tone it down between borders - so I probably won't end up as bright as you think!

Although, I'm wondering, quite a few people seem not entirely happy with their centres, I wonder if we're just having trouble envisaging the borders around it. I'm used to standing back and looking at a whole top on my design wall, not just a centre, I never stand and look at part because I usually have the completed top already done in my head.

I love it!! Is it coming to me?????

Yeah, Blue, I know exactly what you mean. I'm not happy with my center either, and may do something entirely different time permitting. It would be ok, but I actually had to cut down the blocks, and did a really crappy job, so that the blue points don't come together well in some spots, and it's nagging me something terrible!
