ooooh, more lovely centres, I think your idea of collecting all these centres together, Gai, is a great one. I might try that myself.
Sandpat, I can now report that I have my label done (well, all but turning the hems under) I have a small query, 'cos I was checking the original pages. Is there a reason that the first border is 3ins, then it jumps to 5in, and follows on adding an extra inch for each round? I was just asking, as the idea I have for Ninnie's centre would be easier as a 4in one, rather than a 3in.

These were all left overs from a queen that I did for my son. I like the fabric but didn't have enough to do an entire quilt, so I thought this would be a good place to use some of them up.

This is an easy pattern, it is called Square Dance. It looks better when there are more contrasting fabrics, but I figure you girls will bring out the best in it! :)

    Attached is my son's quilt.

With a last name like Cornie, one must have a good sense of humor.

Thanks for sharing a pic of your son's quilt. It's really nice. He must really enjoy it.

I have one label finished :D Nothing fancy, and It isn't hemmed . I might want to add to it when it gets back home next year. I did sew 1/4 in in all the way around to keep it from fraying.

My son hasn't seen the quilt yet. It is a Christmas present. I think he will like it. The last one I made him got stolen and he was just devestated.

LoriJ, I am stunned! I just saw your center and am in total awe! Good thing I found it now. I have another week to figure out what I am going to do. It kind of has an indian look to it. I really like it.

Lacelady, The burglers took his quilt, his christmas stocking that his grandma made him before he was born and all his fire gear. He is a fireman and had to replace all the gear. We think they took the quilt just to haul the heavy stuff, but could never figure out why they took his christmas stocking. Some things can just never be replaced.
