Hmmmm....my problem is bears, not deer. The Chicago Bears, that is! I told DH that I'm making a commitment to get more involved in quilting so whenever the football game is on I have something I want to do! He's all for it.

I have a DGD that left her boyfriend standing at the door to go hunting with her dad! Sorry dear it is DEER season! She told me when she was about 13 she loved watching her dad gut the fish. She looked at me and said Weird isn't it? She loves hunting and fishing with her dad! Tho she is pregnant now and I don't think she will go hunting this year!

I have a son (DGD's dad )that would love that quilt with the buck in the middle! I just found this thread. Don't have time to join in but love looking at all you guys are making!! Will have to keep up with this thread and see all these quilts coming along!!

Okay, here is my centre just ironed the applique on the last tiddly fiddly centre of a flower this morning, got to sew in place and then thats at least one finished, got ideas for the second but pondering.

The birds are totally different from the pattern as I cut them wrong the first time but I like them better as the others were very dark.

This one will end up as a round centre on black.

Glad you like it though thats given me a lift.
Not really Klue, it took me 4 days just to put the backing squares together, its like doing a jigsaw. Then I messed up and had to cut the birds and tree again as I transposed them and had them facing the wrong way  I have pushed myself today to finish it as far as the ironing bit goes, but now its going to go on the back burner as things are hotting up here with guests arriving

I will get back to it when they have all gone

Wow Elle! So different from your center on the current one and I like it!!! I like just the plain background, then the birds really add a new element and round...on a black background...yummy! This one will be a fun one to work with too!

Thanks Kimberley, thats my second watercolour, I really like doing those, it was a kit by the way and I thought I would use it for this.

Sure is beautiful, I have never tried the water color, I do love them and I think I have a kit my daughter gave to me,a little to big for a center.
