Gorgeous, I love it, wish I could do HST´s. So many colour possibilities in that one.

These scrappy stars are great fun - why not use them, I doubt if any one else has had this idea.

Well, I haven't had that idea and it looks really great! What background will you put it on? I can imagine lots of borders that will look fabulous with that!

Elle - I love your centre - must try a watercolour 'one day'! ! :D

Peace - hi, I don't think we've 'met'?! Thanks for your comments on my rooster - I love your scrappy star. :D

Flew into a blind panic when you were talking about moving the deadline forward and then was HUGELY reassured that you didn't! :D

Thanks, the watercolour part is quite easy on this like a jigsaw, but the applique was very difficult.

Yes me too about moving the date forward, I have so much going on especially as this is the last week I have to do anything.

I posted a couple of pictures in the thread in Swaps of the first Round Robin I did on the board.
    It's just a plain block.
I didn't want to post it here because I didn't want anyone to get in a panic about something being finished already.

I only posted it because some seemed to be stressing out about just using a quilt block. I figured since it was a plain block, they could see that it COULD look just as nice as a center that is appliqued or landscaped or whatever.

Exactly!! Thanks so much for posting that. I have been thinking about what to make as my center, and have found this block called a lovers knot. I haven't decided yet, but I do like geometric patterns and thought this could lead to some interesting borders.

In the next day or two, I'm headed out to pick up grandkids and it will be a month-long invasion of the little people. My hope is to get into a good-sized LQS while in the big city and check out some BOM patterns as well. No sewing for me with a house full, so it will be planning time.
