Gorgeous Pam! I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Count me in as another "brights and black" for her center - my brights are batiks and I think my 'black' is going to be navy blue, though.

Wow, Ladies, I miss a couple of days posting, and there are some great additions to the centre blocks people have posted. I love them all. I have just finished the applique on my centre block, and now have only some finishing touches with embroidery to do. Photo coming soon. All of these centres are so diverse in design, colours and concepts, I can't wait to start!

These centers are looking great! Each one I see makes me think,"Ooh, I'd love to work on that one . . . ooh that one too . . . ooh that one too . . ." LOL. Mine is cut out but waiting for my machine to return from the shop. Trying my hand at turned applique may make it take longer than I'd like, but hopefully I'll have a picture up soon.

Just wanted to post the beginnings of my center and get some feedback. Right now the background has to be sized down and I'm not sure if I should cut it way down and add a small dark border or not. I still have to sew around the edges of the applique to finish it. Would this make a good center? Or do I stick with traditional piecing? What do you think??
