Thank you everyone for the kind words. I am having a lot of fun with this center as I am doing it so I think it would be fun to see what everyone else does with it :-)
I love the jester on the moon! How beautiful. All of the people here are so talented and so unique!
Elle that would make a beautiful center..I could see so many great things being added to it :-)

Yippee!!! More great centers! I really am amazed at the diversity of the centers...it makes it soo much fun and of course, I love working outside of MY comfort zone on the centers. Its how I learn. The ones shown are so much fun! Love the Harlequin jester and Elle, that shirt design will make a fantastic center! You can figure it out...it did look like some of the design would be made from beading and heavy quilting at the end though.

I agree with Terri....we all love embellishments...but they might come off with handling and they also add weight to the package for mailing. Just tell us about them...please! :D :D

For those who are going to have embellishments, maybe you could just lay them on , and take a picture and post it, and then we all will have a better idea of what it will look like!1 Just a thought!

Elle, I hope you post pictures as you go along, I would love to watch yours progress!

good to hear about the embellshments. One of the centers I was thinking about was a vase with roses, but the roses are buds that stick up. Probably wouldn't do well with tons of handling, washing and manipulating to add borders. Perhaps I'll lay it out without the buds and see if it can wait to add those parts on...

That's partly why I didn't add beads to mine, plus I didn't think they would last as long as I hope the quilt will, so I ended up doing a few embroidery stitches, and some french knots instead. Since these are in stranded cotton, they should withstand washing and ironing too.

All of you are doing really great on your blocks. I'm sorry to say I got to this thread too late to join all of you and as I was reading the original thread I had a plan forming in my mind, then got to a page that said CLOSED. Such a disappointment, maybe next time. I am on a list just in case someone has 'life' get in the way. I'll be watching and ohhing and aweing at all your creativity though. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. My block is all made for next time.
