i have only made two of the carpenter's wheels .... still thinking ...
was going to make some eleven inch versions today but that was put on hold when I went to town and spent too much time and $$ in my LQS .... and, STILL do not have the fabric I went in to buy.
    Budget shot for month! BUMMER!

i never would have expected that center from i'm so used to you saying that you love repro prints and traditional designs.

you have gone so far out of the box for this one - who knew there was a contemporary quilt artist inside just dying to get out.

    bravo to you!

    YOU ROCKED THE WORLD!
   awe shucks, Klue, it's just a scrap quilt! I did have fun with this one!

Well, I have mine either done...or partly done, but with all the beauties posted on this page, I'll wait a page or so...then drag it out from hiding..although it is different for me...a Diamond Point Bearpaw...I'll post it later when I get off my lazy but and take a pic of it.

Here is my center so far. It's not sewn together yet because I have to do a blanket stitch all around everything first. I'm thinking about adding a pink zinger before sewing the borders on. What do you think? I'm so excited about being able to join group 8. Also, my DH thinks a black blanket stitch and I want to stay pastel. What do you think about that?

I plan to do more emblellishments after it returns to me. Don't want it to be too heavy.

Close up of blanket stitch. Maybe it needs to be a bit darker pink?

    I think it is beautiful.
I am partial to the black for blanket stitching, but totally understand your preference for pastel. The stitching won't show up as much, I'm thinking.

Thankyou Omak and I think you are right to make the stitching darker.

Thanks Klue, you get it first!
