    Thanks for the feedback. I see that I did miss a piece in the rectangular trial but since DH prefers the square, that's the direction I'm going. Yes, it's just a continuation and I want the center bigger so the first border doesn't overwhelm it.

    My square needs fixing anyway, since I forgot to cut the last row larger to allow for the 1/2" seam allowance.

    All right!
    Now, I am REALLY starting to become intimidated!
    The centers are beautiful, and some of them passing through my hands boggle my brain ... I think somewhere in here I have a creative gene, but have never really seen it in action ....
    though ...
    I did have a friend once who assured me I was creative ... he KNEW I was creative, because I caused problems everywhere I went! :shock:
    Good job, everyone <wave>

    Bzang - that's beautiful and I agree with keeping it square;

    Mine should be finished later today - watch this space! Thanks for the reminder re a label Elle - i HAD forgotten! :oops:

    Should the label be attached in some way? Or just separate? I guess separate otherwise it'll end up INSIDE the quilt? Duh! :lol:

    As promised, here he his; he's 16.5" x 14.5" unfinished. I framed him with the chicken wire to round him up as he finished a funny size - didn't want to give you brain ache, Patti! :wink:

    Hey, I think DH may be onto something. But do I get him before you? Darn it! I just checked the list. Nope, Patti does.

    He is just beautiful, K. Maybe he'd like to stay here and visit with Poppy and Oiseau. After all, they are the same colors! :P :P :P

    P.S. Yes, the one bird's name really is Oiseau!!
