Thanks Kendra and Esq! Glad you like the fabric Esq - I hope you can find it in the States. Otherwise, maybe one of the English gals will get it for you - Tabby Cat do free shipping in the UK so they could have it sent to them then forward it on to you. Just an idea.

Patti - you just tell DH from me, Ha ha, very funny! If he wants you to keep the rooster then I'm coming for Hussy and Fussy! (That WAS their names, right?! :D )

Hey, I think DH may be onto something. But do I get him before you? Darn it! I just checked the list. Nope, Patti does.

He is just beautiful, K. Maybe he'd like to stay here and visit with Poppy and Oiseau. After all, they are the same colors! :P :P :P

P.S. Yes, the one bird's name really is Oiseau!!
What sort of birds are they?

I despair of ever seeing Rudi Den Haan again! (That's my rooster's name - after the Dutch fabric guy from my fave shop in Amsterdam - 'den Haan' is Dutch for 'the rooster' ! Hey, two can play at that game Gai! - Oiseau! )

Poppy is a Sunday Conure, and Oiseau is a Quaker Parrot. And I had the WORST time getting people to say Wazz-OH, instead of Wazz-EW! :P

Thanks Elle - I have to thank Ducky for the lovely batiks she sent me, without which he wouldn't have been half as nice! :D

Re the label - If I embroider my name and details then just leave plenty of room underneath for other ppl to sign with pigma or embroider, or whatever they like, will that be OK, or should I put lines on as well? I thought I'd do a rectangle of cream fabric with a little border of the chicken wire like round the ragged rooster (the rugged rascal ran! ) Whatcha fink, Elle?
