200th Anniversary Quilt Block...
About a month ago, I received an email about making a quilt block for our county's 200th anniversary. Other people had already decided on the canal, an old hotel, and various other things.
I decided to do a water mill. There were several in our county at one time. One is still very much operational at our local state park. They will operate it during the warmer months and have an apple festival in the fall where they use the mill to press apple cider and you can tour the mill and see all the gears and watch grinding being done with mill stones. It's an impressive sight to see.
Anyway, here's my quilt block....
