Thanks, I am a fairly new quilter so making the half square triangles with the thangles paper is much easier for me than cutting the 2 7/8" blocks, anything that is 7/8" trips me up big time!

Hey Marilyn - a tip with the thangles I have found that when I get my two strips of fabric from the quilt store it is much easier if I cut them into sections the length of the thangles paper, otherwise I have had shifting and I dont get a real nice half square triangle. I usually cut 4 or 5 sections for the thangles papers and then the left over fabric I use to cut my solid squares that are usually dispersed in the pattern. Hope that helps. I am now making thangles quilt #3 right now for 2011 from my local quilt store, I think this will be the last one since I am learning more and can move on to a more advanced quilt.
