    The pattern is called the "Folded Star" I have the directions and I believe I got them off of the internet. It was a free pattern so I don't think there is a copyright on it. Google Folded Star and if you cannot find it, I will be glad to scan my copy and send it to you.     Thanks for sharing your work and the link for the folded star. I would like to know how you made the octagon borders for the dresden plate toppers. Is this a pattern or something you designed?

    You really worked for Christms gifts this year. I made 7 pairs of king size pillow cases plus one queen and
    several regular size for kids. Sorry I didnt get a picture before giving them .
