I would Brat - if I lived just a bit closer to you. 2200 miles is a long way to go for cinnamon rolls no matter how good they and the company would be.

Here is Lana's center. I used regular old flying geese combined with the sherbet (?) color gradation fabric in orange and purple. I found a batik that wasn't exactly the same but pretty close and the dark frame parts are Ro Gregg's Marblehead in onyx (hands down my favorite fabric and go-to for dramatic "black but not black" colors).

I suckered the Midget into holding the center. The center is 48.5" right now and is just barely shorter than him. We've already grown 2 sizes since May... *sigh*

I love what Kelly did - stained glass effect is so stunning.

Brat - I think the direction to go in your round would be to bring the beige tone from the center fabric back into the mix and make the darker fabrics continue to pop.

Yes - the fabric goes from darker to lighter.

Brat, if you cannot find a similar batik, I've got a good chunk of mine left over. I should have stuck it in the box to begin with but I forgot. Let me know and I can throw it in the mail.

my local quilt store here she adores batiks literally more than half her store is stocked with batiks. I get bummed when I go in and cant find REGULAR fabric lol.. her selection of that stuff? sucks. lol.. so I am good thank you and save your postage. some of these round robins are sending a ridiculous amount of fabrics out with their blocks. why not send a couple and if there is more needed then send it. save everyone postage right? I am thinking an even mix of the darker and the lighter fabrics is what I want to do.. but truthfully this is one quilt that has to be in my hands I think. its turning out to be very striking besides.. I have an international harvester round robin to work on this week. my mind only focuses on one project at a time.. safely.
