    I have pieced this several times, and always have hand quilted it, as it is a design that does not seem to be one to cross-hatch or otherwise superimpose a quilting design over the hexagons. Congratulations on finishing yours. I especially like your border, and will consider using your idea. Mine have been generally following the hexagon for edges, not blocked off or evened up in the border.

    That is gorgeous!! I've started doing the 1" hexagons too and hope someday to have a quilt as pretty as yours!!

    How many needle stabs occurred as you did all the hexagons? The GFC has turned out beautiful - I like the white hexies.
