after i finished my first blanket, i wanted to quilt something small and thin, hoping that it would work without a walking foot.
so, i made some coasters (that were desperately needed!). all materials are recycled/re-purposed and/or came from a thrift store.
outside is quilting cotton, flannel, and some vintage napkins. inside is dishtowels, tshirts, cotton twill, and possibly something else.
next time, i'm going to make them thicker, use more absorbent material, or buy cotton batting, if i feel like spending the money. if i feel concerned, i just stack 2 coasters up.
it was really fun to use my quilting guide and i'm pretty happy with the lines. they came out pretty darn straight.
