    Hey Overlander,

I just finished all my braids and wondered if you had any extra words of wisdom regarding trimming. And I don't think I'll do a 12 run braid again--it's almost too long for anything but a king-sized bed! Also, I want a 3-color separator band, but not 1"/2"/1", I think I would prefer 0.5"/2"/0.5", unless you think it would look weird. Any words of wisdom will be appreciated!

I am stuck on my french braid. The instructions for cutting off the triangles is so complicated I am afraid to try cutting them off. Love your quilt, same colours as in the book. Good job you are keeping that one. If I ever figure out the cutting of the triangles off, I am keeping mine too. Doing that pattern in reds.

    Overlander,
If that was on my bed, I don't think I'd get out of it. It's stunning!!

Naiscoot, are your strips 2.5 inches? If they are, then for your ending triangles, cut 8 squares that are 7 inches, then cut the squares in half on the diagonal, making 16 triangles.

Then lay a triangle so that the point lays on a seam line between the 3rd and 2nd (from the end) accent squares. Pin carefully, since it is a bias. Sew with the triangle on the bottom. Here is a photo, showing the tip of the triangle lined up with the seam--my fingers are pointing toward the seam. You will have about 3/4 of an inch of the triangle hanging off the middle of the last strip, and about 1-2 inches shorter than the outer edge.

This part I got. Now I gotta see if I can trim it without ruining it!

P.S. Your red braid is beautiful!!
