Default 3D Maze #13 with a little help from the LOTR Pez dispensers

I gifted this quilt to my daughter's very special friends. They have grandchildren, which makes this quilt especially meaningful and useful. HOWEVER, I forgot to take detail photos! My daughter graciously took lots of pictures. Frodo, Sam, Gollum, Gandolf, Legolas, Gimli, Aragon, and the Eye of Sauron help show off the dimension of the maze.

Of course, I can never let a project be simple, so I used the left over pebble fabric to make a stepping stone pond on the backside of the quilt. The back took longer than the front to complete! Included are lily pads with fussy cut frogs and flowers with a butterfly thrown in.

In lieu of a label, I stitched a dedication in FMQ on the back. Cursive was much easier than I first thought. I used gray thread, which you can barely see on the front because it blends well with the stone fabric. One of the lines I stitched was: This quilt is a toy!

And, but the way, my daughter's friend loved the quilt!

    Enjoy!

Great quilt! Just to let you know, neither of your links at the bottom work on my iPad. All I get is a sign up notice.

Great photo shoot! The addition of the Pez really make it look like the characters are in a maze. You did a wonderful job, front and back.

Your quilt is so 3-D that I wanted to reach out and stick my hand in the maze to pull out one of the Pez dispensers. It's unbelievable. Bet my grandboys would love this! What a great job you did on it.

You continue to amaze me....a little pun there... with your intriguing quilts. Every time you make a new one, I think it is the prettiest and best. Keep giving us eye candy.
