Man I love this. The body fabric is super. Do you remember where you got it? Does it have a name? I would love to get some. Some of my favorite colors. Did you make up the body of the elephant or is it a pattern? Your granddaughter is going to love this quilt. Can't wait to see the other blocks you come up with. BrendaK

Thank you for your lovely comments on my 3D taggy. The manufacturer of the fabric is David Textiles Inc but I have to say that it has been in my stash for quite a few years.
As the for elephant I just googled elephant images and printed off the one that best suited the size of the background fabric.

What are TAGGIES™?
Inspired by her children’s affection and attachment to smooth, satiny looped tags, Danielle Ayotte nurtured Taggies from an idea to a "must have" nursery item for little ones around the world. For well over a decade now, babies and children have been comforted by their tactile, soothing and safe Taggies. Focused on the “whole child”, Taggies enhance early childhood emotional well being, growth, and sense of security by providing tactile and visually stimulating features that both soothe and entertain. Children interact with, explore and enjoy a generous assortment of printed and textured tags, creating in them a true sense of good feeling, positive adjustment and overall happiness. Contributing to a lifetime foundation of healthy development, "interactive” Taggies nurture with comfort, activity and fun.
My elephant is what I call a 3D taggy and it was an idea that I had. I am sure that something like what I made exists but called something else. I have made "traditional" taggies for my granddaughter but one this one instead of ribbons I did not sew the tail and ear down so it would be grabbed and flipped.
If you google " baby taggies" you will see a whole range and more info.
