He did great! My local quilt shop sells Vikings. The Opal, from the honest opinion of the reps, it really has quality compared to other machines in its class. You are really going to enjoy it. I have a Viking embroidery machine and I love Vikings, and Pfaffs too!!

Hmm...traditional anniversary gift for 40 years is Ruby and 45th is Sapphire, so it sounds like he got the 41st JUST RIGHT with an Opal! Congrats to you both - on 41 years and on your new machine.
