No, I just put my hand up through the bottom slit in the lining (not sewn up yet). I center it between the handles about 1/4 inch down. Easy peasy. Don't like button at all. Too slow to get into and too slow to be secured again when needed.

I've often thought about adding a zipper instead, but haven't been so daring. Would love to though. The magnets take me about 5 minutes or less to install. It's the fusing that takes me so much time!!!

Beautiful baby, too!!! And you did not pick the right summer to vacation in Minot, I'm afraid. Worst flooding in 130 years according to CA news this AM. Still, I hope you enjoy your stay.
