I absolutely agree. I would not only call Guiness, but I think I would try Jay Leno, seriously. An accomplishment like that is exactly the sort of thing he would love to have on his show. Sorry I have no idea of how to contact him.

That quilt belongs in a museum. You two are absolutely amazing.
We did contact Guiness, although I am sure I have heard of a quilt with more pieces. However, they do not have a category for most number of pieces in a quilt, so perhaps we can be the first!

I'm sure they would find a lot to criticize on it, as you can see the lines are not perfectly straight and there are other flaws ( all of which I tried to fix while quilting it!!)

As was previously questioned, "what is your husband's background? art, quilting, sewing, - his mother, grandmother?

    Beautiful style.
Believe it or not, he has degree in engineering and sold insurance for many years. Like the old song says, "there's no one with endurance, like the man who sells insurance"!

All his sewing skills he learned from me, although I would never bother with pieces that small. I think 1" square would be my minimum.

He likes working on a treadle as it doesn't interfere with the TV.

Sorry for all these posts, but he wanted me to answer the questions people had.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments, he really enjoys reading them.

That is a masterpiece, indeed! Hope you find a generous buyer, but if it were mine, I'd keep it and enjoy it!

Great job both of you. Funny thing, I was sitting and wondering if a treadle would be a good solution for sewing at our vacation property (there is no power source there at all). I wasn't sure of it would be possible (I don't know that much about them). Guess I just found out it is!
