I am making a large quilt - I have a couple of other posts with pictures of the bigger blocks - all stars. When I am finished with the 6 1/2 inch blocks there will be 70 in total and all different. I have found all the block patterns on line some are paper pieced, some are not - lots of small pieces to cut. Reminds me of making barbie doll clothes for my girls when they were little.

    Wow those are really great.

Are you making this quilt for someone in particular?

I think it's for me LOL. I made a quilt for our king sized bed - it was the first one I had made that large (it was a BOM from our LQS). I usually just make baby blankets, and lap quilts with the occasional wall hanging for a friend. When I took this quilt top to the quilter the width and the length were VERY close in size but not the same. She put the backing on the wrong way and then "trimmed" my borders to make it fit. Well now it doesn't quite fit my over sized king bed :-(. I had one block in the BOM that I had done some hand applique on and had centered that blocked and rotated all the blocks to be on point so that it would be upright. Now because the quilt is trimmed it lays on my bed going the wrong direction because it is longer than wide. However my daughter Chloe keeps eying it and has made some teenager remarks like "when are you making someone else one?" But I don't think it will be this one I love the fabric line too much.
