Default 8-year-old with a smile!

Our Great Granddaughter came for a visit over Spring Break and I decided to teach her the basics of sewing. She picked it right up. This is her with her first quilt. She did every stitch and all of the quilting. One proud and happy little girl!

She is beautiful and so is her quilt. I bet that the two of you will share many more days in the sewing room.

Adorable granddaughter and quilt. :-) My son is 9 and he loves to quilt too, I think it's a great skill to have.

Sweet! I too love to see young ones learning skills and traditions from their senior family members. It makes for happy memories and ensures these fine arts never become lost.
