DH, daughter, and I went to Chicago for the long w/end. Partly to assess if it is time to move MIL to a facility with more care. (She isn't quite there yet, but getting close.) When she saw me working on hand quilting I had with me, she got out several quilts that were made by her grandmother and great grandmother!!! They are all stitched and quilted by hand. There is one top not finished, and Mom let me bring that home to see if I can finish it. Wow....do I have some big quilting shoes to fill!!! The work on these is exceptional.

Wow! What a lucky person you are to receive these heirloom quilts!! You should be so honored that your MIL wants you to finish a quilt! I love both of them!! Do you get to keep them when you're finished with them?
